City of Roses Disposal & Recycling (COR) has been named the service provider for David Douglas School District.
Portland, Ore., Dec. 15, 2025 – City of Roses Disposal & Recycling (COR) is proud to announce that it has partnered with David Douglas School District as the exclusive service provider for all of the East Portland district’s campuses and facilities.
Encompassing roughly 12 square miles, the David Douglas School District includes nine elementary schools, three middle schools, one high school, and one alternative high school campus. It also features The David Douglas Aquatics Center and Howard Horner Performing Arts Center, which are located on David Douglas High School campus. The district is separate from, and operates entirely apart from the Portland Public School Districts.
Of the partnership, COR CEO Alando Simpson says, “This is a major win for COR and a huge testament to our operating principles and philosophy. Our roots are in East Portland, and we could not be more thrilled to have DDSD as the very first school district to join our network. We look forward to lasting and meaningful partnership built on community values”.
We are excited to deliver our fully integrated waste and recycling collection services to the David Douglas School District and for the opportunity to partner with them in implementing creative solutions to minimize the district’s carbon footprint.
