City of Roses Disposal & Recycling (COR) joins the team as the official disposal partner of the Portland Pickles
Portland, Ore., June 22, 2026 – City of Roses Disposal & Recycling (COR) has recently joined in partnership with the Portland Pickles to serve as the exclusive disposal services provider for the 2026 season.
Situated within East Portland’s Lents Park, the Pickles’ Walker Stadium offers seating for up to 15,000 in addition to designated group event areas. COR will also be providing home-game disposal services for Portland’s USL 2 team, the Bangers, and its newly minted WUSL team, the Cherry Bombs.
To celebrate the partnership, COR’s CAO AJ Simpson was invited to throw first pitch at the Pickles’ ‘Japanese Baseball Night’ home game on May 31. Speaking to the contract, Simpson says, “To borrow a baseball cliché, this is an obvious home run for us as a locally owned and operated company with deep roots in the East Portland community. Our family has always been involved in local athletics, so to be named the service provider for an institution like the Pickles is a real win”.
COR is excited to deliver our fully integrated waste and recycling collection services to the Pickles, Bangers, and Cherry Bombs in 2026 and we look forward to the opportunity to partner with them in implementing creative solutions to minimize the district’s carbon footprint.
